Anywhere two parts that have fluid, fuel or oil traveling through them come together on your engine, the use of a seal is required to prevent that fluid from leaking out between the seam.
That is where this water pump seal comes in. This seals the gap between the water pump and the timing case, preventing leaks. Unfortunately, this seal is made of rubber, and over the years, due to its constant exposure to heat and chemicals, it can break down and become brittle, beginning to leak.
If this has occurred on your engine, the seal must be replaced in order to stop the leak, and fortunately, ECS Tuning has the seals you need, and the correct fluid to top off what was lost, too.
