I’m looking for an investor for a pawn shop I’m willing to start or open soon, I have been working for a big pawn shop called cash crusaders for some time now, which I started working as a salesman back in jhb its where I climbed the ladder to being a buyer in Durban from there I was a supervisor/store manager in another pawnshop in gateway.
A pawn shop is about buying, selling & lending cash against any working item or goods, even cars. So I am working on this idea of opening my own shop in a developing location called bester (bridge city) because there is no business like this in that location and surroundings, bester is in the center of kwamashu, ntuzuma, inanda, lindelani and more, it’s the fact that many people from these townships are in debts and some are blacklisted so they can’t get any finance from banks, and some they need quick or urgent cash for that specific time or period. I’m saying this from experience.
Most shops like this are in town so sometimes it’s hard for people to hire a transport for their items or goods to take those good to one of those pawn shops because its costly and they also need money. Because of the place I’m choosing and also based on experience and passionate for this kind of business, this shop will be very successful. People will come sell or loan cash against their items which can be electrical, powertools, house goods, jewellary and more even cars so second hand goods are like the heart of the business because you can make a profit of up to 1oo% per item and most people prefer second hand goods than new Chinese goods because they are cheap and they also a brand.
