As Workshop Manager you will report to the Branch Manager
Remuneration: R18 000.00 – R20 000.00 depending on experience
Educational Qualifications:
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience, Must be able to work with diesel rollers and Hatz motors.
Purpose & Scope
To oversee all the workshop functions. This includes the ability to plan, supervise and monitor staff and resources in a workshop environment.
To determine the work prioritization and task allocation for all workshop tasks
To oversee workshop staff so that appropriate information, instruction, training and guidance is provided when required
To be responsible for the health and safety and welfare of staff and customers in the workshop.
To be responsible for the security and efficient running of the workshop and to consider improvements and efficiencies wherever possible.
Must be a "Hands - On" person.
Skills:
1. Proven relevant experience in workshop management and within the disciplines practiced in the workshop and Repair department, with knowledge of Hatz-motors and diesel rollers
2. Previous pump assembly experience.
3. Experience of working with people from a range of backgrounds, some from challenging backgrounds.
4. Knowledge of developing and managing a workshop.
5. Knowledge of Health & Safety relevant to workshop practice.
6. Willingness to be flexible to help the organisation meet changing demands.
7. Self-motivated, energetic, dependable, honest, and thorough.
8. Ability to modulate with a dynamic workload: From heavy multi-tasking during peak
workloads - to very focused, detail-oriented work during critical projects.
9. Strong management, organizational, and communication skills are required.
10. Team attitude; eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal
communication skills.
11. Ability to change direction and handle multiple responsibilities and tasks on a regular basis.
12. Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed target expectations.
13. Willing to put in extra effort and hours as needed.
15. Computer Literate.
16. Knowledge of ERP systems.
