Legal Administrator
Key Responsibilities
●Direct Assistance - directly assisting the Company Secretary and Legal Manager with projects. This could range from follow-up work on current projects to assisting with the fulfilment of the company secretary function as set out in the Companies Act
●Organization - keeping up with the reams of paper generated by the organization, organising paperwork and arranging documents. This also includes more traditional clerical work such as drafting resolutions, letters and emails, responding to correspondence and tracking the development of on- going matters and liaising with the CIPC
●Research - a substantial amount of time doing research and writing. The research varies widely and will have a broad variety of purposes. Other research-related duties include assistance with drafting memos, monitoring legislation and keeping our team updated on current events.
●This opportunity will give exposure and provide skills and competence development in the following functional areas :
1.Organisational Ethics
2.Corporate Governance
3.Company Secretariat fiduciary duty, roles and functionality
4.Company Law
5.Compliance Monitoring
6.Company Law
7.Commercial Law
Qualifications and Skills:
●Law degree (i.e. LLB/ Bcom Law or equivalent)
●Computer literacy
●Problem solving skills, planning and organising skills
●Self-motivation, analytical, cognitive thinking and good communication skills
