Item description

Durban, South Africa – Chef Jacqui Brown is proud to announce that she has now become a committee member on the board of the South African Chefs Association in Kwazulu Natal, a cause that she feels strongly about. The South African Chefs Association (SACA) is a non-profit industry organisation that has been representing chefs, cooks and caterers at all levels for over 40 years. Its core purpose is to set and maintain the highest level of culinary excellence, food standards and professionalism throughout South Africa.

As a professional chef, food consultant and editor of her own magazine, she has a passion for food, and more importantly, the pleasure that is created when enjoyed by others.

Talking about her move onto the board, Chef Jacqui Brown said, “My journey in the food realm started when I was very young around the age of 14. Not to say I hadn’t tried to burn our house down several occasions in my years before that with my cooking experiments. One thing I’ve learned in my life, it’s that there’s a certain power — a kind of magic — that comes from being wholehearted, from focusing on something you love 100%. What keeps me coming back each day is the passion and love for this industry.”
